It is hip, healthy, fun, we cannot find enough reasons why! By bicycle you can discover the nicest cafes, restaurants and boutiques. Race along imposing buildings scattered throughout the city. For most of the sites, you will have to get off your bicycle, what will give you a lot of variety. You will find places, where usually tourists not easily come. If you would get lost, you will be back on track in no-time. In short, a completely different experience to eplore Ghent!
For €7.5/day you can rent a manual city bike at the Astoria Hotel and become a true citizen of Ghent. If you prefer electric bikes, ask for one of our e-bikes at €25/day.

The hotel has a bicycle shed, which can be used by our guests free of charge.
However, we ask that you bring a bicycle lock, as this area is freely accessible to everyone.
Upon arrival, we will give you a free map with a cycling route between the hotel and the old part of the city, which will lead you past some of Ghent's most breathtaking spots.
The bicycle route The region along the Leie can be bought in the hotel (€3): this route will guide you through the beautiful countryside between Ghent and Deinze, a landscape that has been inspired by many artist. You cycle along picturesque villages such as Deurle and Sint-Martens-Latem. The castle of Ooidonk is the jewel in the crown.
