Discover Ghent in a fast and environmentally friendly way. Our hotel has both manual city bikes and electric bikes you can rent. This way you contribute to a greener city and explore the nicest cafes, restaurants and boutiques as well as impressive buildings. 

The hotel has a bicycle shed, which can be used free of charge by our guests. However, we ask that you bring a bicycle lock, as this space is freely accessible to everyone. 

Our spacious parking lot is equipped with multiple charging stations, so you can charge your car carefree while enjoying a relaxing stay.

At Astoria, we believe in true sustainability. The hotel has a lot of solar panels, so we are not only investing in sustainable energy, but also in a sustainable future. During the day we generate green electricity, therefore we ensure less CO₂.

Our commitment does not stop at just solar panels. We combine solar energy with an advanced cogeneration plant that also produces energy after sunset. This is how we ensure a continuous, sustainable supply, day and night.

Our hotel is equipped with a cogeneration plant. This modern technology produces heat and electricity simultaneously, providing an efficient energy supply.

An important advantage of this PowerUnit is that it not only operates during the day, but also continues to function after sunset. This allows us to generate energy even at times when the solar panels are no longer producing output.

We also take responsibility in terms of water management. We are strongly committed to water recovery by collecting rainwater and reusing it to flush toilets.

In this way, we save precious drinking water on a daily basis and contribute to responsible and sustainable water consumption.
